Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 June 2026
Clear-language draft written by the Diecastry team — reflects how the service works today and what the law typically requires us to put in writing, but has not yet been reviewed by an external lawyer. Edge cases should be checked against counsel before you rely on them. Questions: hello@bigposting.com.
1. About these terms
By creating an account or using Diecastry (diecastry.com, "the service"), you agree to these Terms. The service is operated by Bigposting ("we", "us"). If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the service.
These Terms are written for consumers in the European Union. Where local consumer law gives you stronger rights than what's written here, those rights apply over these Terms.
2. Your account
- Who can register — you must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering into a contract. One account per person, please.
- Account security — you're responsible for keeping your password confidential. Tell us at hello@bigposting.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Accurate info — the account info you give us (email, username, country, currency) should be accurate. We don't require your legal name; a handle is fine.
- One-click deletion — you can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal data within the timeframe described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your content
- You own what you upload. Catalogue entries, photos, reviews, comments, messages, marketplace listings — your content stays yours.
- Licence to us. To run the service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, resize and otherwise process your content as needed to provide Diecastry to you and to anyone you've chosen to share with (e.g. the rest of the community if you set a model public). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for material we're legally required to keep.
- No AI training. We don't use your photos or text to train machine learning models, and we don't licence them to third parties for that purpose.
- Your responsibility. You must have the rights to anything you upload. Don't post photos you didn't take or licence; don't upload other people's content without permission.
4. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Harass, threaten, or spam other collectors. Disagreements about a casting are fine; personal abuse is not.
- Post illegal content, hate speech, sexually explicit material, or anything that endangers minors.
- Use Diecastry to advertise unrelated businesses, recruit for MLMs, or fish for personal data.
- Scrape, copy, or systematically download the catalogue without our written permission.
- Try to break, overload, or circumvent our security. Responsible disclosure is welcomed — email us first.
- Impersonate someone else, including manufacturers, retailers, or other collectors.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For egregious cases (illegal content, threats), we may also report to authorities.
5. Marketplace
When you list a model for sale, you're entering into a transaction directly with the buyer. Diecastry isn't a party to that transaction. We provide the surface, the search, the messaging — we don't hold the model, we don't take payment, we don't ship anything.
- Listings must be accurate. Condition, photos, and price should reflect what you're actually selling.
- Disputes between buyer and seller are between the two of you. Sort it out by message first. If something genuinely needs us — fraud, repeated ToS violations — email us.
- Sales tax / VAT / customs are the seller's responsibility. We don't withhold or remit taxes on your behalf.
6. Reviews
Reviews must reflect your honest experience with a model you actually own (or owned). Don't post reviews for compensation, don't write reviews for models you've never handled, and don't write reviews to settle scores with sellers or other collectors. Reviews that breach these rules can be removed.
7. Service availability
We try to keep Diecastry up and fast all the time, but we don't promise specific uptime or specific performance. Software has bugs. Cloud providers have outages. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance with as much notice as we can reasonably give.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Diecastry — for example, lost profits on a marketplace deal that fell through, or data loss caused by a bug in a third- party browser.
We are liable for damages caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for personal injury caused by our fault. We do not exclude any liability that EU consumer law says we can't exclude.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Diecastry at any time by deleting your account from Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or create a real risk to the service or its users (illegal content, sustained abuse, attempts to break the platform). Where possible, we'll let you know and give you a chance to fix the problem first.
10. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may change Diecastry as it grows — add features, remove ones that didn't work, adjust how things look. We may also update these Terms when the service changes or the law does. Material changes will be announced in-app and / or by email; you'll have a chance to review them before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the European Union and, where EU law leaves gaps, the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bigposting is established. As a consumer, you retain the right to bring claims in your own country of residence where local law allows.
